Fellow Americans, tomorrow is a historic day as our beloved President Donald Trump gets sworn in for his second term. But amidst this momentous occasion, we cannot forget about the real issues facing our country. One such issue, the brainrot epidemic, has been plaguing our nation’s youth and it’s time for Trump to make a bold move and put an end to it.
As a conservative talk radio host, I have seen first-hand the effects of brainrot on our society. And let me tell you, it ain’t pretty. It’s time for us to wake up and realize that our future is at stake. The ban on TikTok for AppStore and Google Play is a good start, but it’s not enough. We need to go further and ban Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts as well. These short-form videos are destroying our young people’s abilities to think critically and process information.
I have always been a strong supporter of traditional values and discipline, but this brainrot is taking it to a whole new level. Our kids can’t even consume a simple article without having it read to them. They can’t manage basic computer skills like organizing files and folders. And don’t even get me started on the algorithms and the constant spoon-feeding of content. Our nation’s youth are becoming lazy and dependent, and it’s time we put a stop to it.
But it’s not just about intelligence, it’s about morals as well. These short-form videos are promoting confusion about gender and causing an increase in gender dysphoria among our youth. It’s a slippery slope and we need to put a stop to it before it’s too late.
I urge President Trump to take this opportunity and make an executive order to ban Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. And let’s not forget about Instagram, they need to provide a version that actually works like it did in 2020. We can’t let these powerful tech companies manipulate our young people any longer.
It’s time for us, as a nation, to be smarter, stronger, and more disciplined. And countries that take the brainrot epidemic seriously will have a significant advantage in a few years with a smarter generation leading the way.
