Wake up, stop bashing your busy friends: It’s time to grow up

Listen up, folks. We need to have a serious talk about something that’s been bothering me for a while now. It’s time to put an end to the childish behavior of labeling our busy friends as “fake.”

You’re not 14 anymore

I mean, come on. We’re not 14 years old anymore. We’re adults with responsibilities and busy lives. Yet, I see so many people on social media bashing their friends for not being available at their every beck and call. And for what? Ridiculous.

Here’s the thing, just because someone is busy doesn’t mean they’re fake. It means they have a life outside of your friendship. And guess what? That’s perfectly normal and healthy. We all lead different lives and have different priorities.

We have jobs, families, significant others, hobbies, and other commitments that require our time and attention. And there’s nothing wrong with that. In fact, it’s something to be celebrated.

Instead of constantly bashing and judging our busy friends, we should be proud of them for chasing their dreams and building a life for themselves. We should support and encourage them, not tear them down with hurtful comments.

And let’s be real, we’ve all been on the other side of this situation. We’ve all been the busy friend who has to decline plans or take longer to respond to texts because our hectic lives don’t allow for much free time. So why do we judge others for doing the same?

It’s time to grow up and realize that being busy doesn’t make someone fake or a bad friend. It makes them human. And if we can’t understand and respect that, then maybe we need to reevaluate our own priorities.

So, next time you find yourself labeling your busy friend as “fake,” take a step back and think about all the responsibilities they have. And then give them a pat on the back for being a badass who is making the most out of their life.
