You check the news on your phone. The word “mirror” pops up again and again. Scientists have confirmed an accidental leak at a high-containment synthetic biology lab in Switzerland. The culprit? A new class of experimental organisms based not on the natural amino acids of Earth life, but on their mirror-image counterparts: D-amino acids and L-ribonucleic acid aptamers.

What was meant to be the future of next-gen medicine has just crossed a boundary that no one knew could be so deadly.


The Promise of Reversed Biochemistry

It started with breakthroughs that thrilled the scientific world.
