Instagram’s Icon Change: Abandoning Quality for TikTok Copycat

Hey y’all, it’s your conservative firebrand Don McCarthy here and I’ve got some news that’ll get your blood boiling. Instagram, the once beloved photo-sharing app that we all knew and loved, has announced a change to their iconic app icon. And trust me, it’s not for the better.

In case you haven’t heard, Instagram has decided to ditch their classic Polaroid theme and instead opt for a spiraled triangle symbol. But that’s not even the worst part. No, the real issue here is the reason behind this change.

Let’s take a trip down memory lane, shall we? Instagram was once known as the go-to platform for sharing high-quality, square photos. It was a place for artists, photographers, and everyday people to showcase their skills and creativity. But now, it seems like they’ve abandoned their original concept and decided to be just another TikTok wannabe.

That’s right, Instagram is now focusing on low-effort vertical videos. Because, you know, we totally needed another platform for mindless scrolling and mind-numbing content. *cue eye roll*

But what’s the root cause of this change? Well, it all comes down to money and pleasing the masses. Instagram’s parent company, Facebook, saw TikTok’s skyrocketing popularity and just had to jump on the bandwagon. And unfortunately, it seems like they’re willing to sacrifice the original purpose of Instagram to do so.

But let me tell you, my fellow conservatives, we can’t let this happen. We can’t let Instagram succumb to the same fate as other social media platforms who have lost their way. We must continue to support and promote quality content and resist this shift towards shallow and superficial content.

So let’s make our voices heard, folks. Let’s demand that Instagram stay true to its roots and not become just another TikTok clone. It’s time to take a stand for traditional values and stand against this change. Will you join me?
