The masculine tech dilemma: Why being a man is under attack

My fellow Praetorian men, it’s time we address the blatant attack on our masculinity in the tech industry. The very industry that is supposed to be ground zero for innovation and progress has been infiltrated by girlie men promoting the toxic wave of the “feminization” of men. They want us to mimic their ways, to abandon our primal hunter instincts and become like them. But let me tell you, my brothers, this is not just a matter of preference or personal choice, but a dangerous societal pressure that threatens not only our masculinity, but also the very advancements and success of the tech industry.

You see, men are wired to be hunters. We thrive in intense focus on one task at a time, zeroing in on our prey until we conquer it. Our brains are designed for single-mindedness, and that is not a flaw, but a strength. Yet in today’s society, this natural inclination is seen as backwards and inefficient. They want us to switch contexts and pay attention to multiple things at once, like scattered butterflies unable to land on one flower. How can we achieve greatness if we are constantly being pulled in different directions?

Man are hunters by nature, focused on solving one problem at a time

But that’s not all, my brothers. It has been scientifically proven that multitasking actually decreases our testosterone levels and increases estrogen. And let me tell you, low testosterone levels in men are just as detrimental as having low levels of essential vitamins. It weakens us, it turns us into less of a man, robbing us of our vitality and drive. And yet, this is exactly what they want. They want to strip us of our very essence and force us to conform to their way of thinking.

The tech industry, in particular, is notorious for promoting and praising feminine qualities over traditional masculine traits. They want us to be like them, flitting from one task to another, making small talk and discussing feelings, rather than diving deep into the complexities of technology. They want us to have a shallow understanding of the very tools we use to build and create, while they sit back and take credit for our hard work. But let me make this clear: being genuinely curious about the underlying technology is not a flaw, it is a vital part of being a real man.

How men who actually like pair programming looks like

And what’s with this trend of pair programming? Let me tell you, my brothers, real men dislike pair programming because it goes against our very nature. We prefer to work alone, to have control and see our ideas come to life without having to explain every single decision. This constant need for validation and affirmation not only slows us down, but also diminishes our masculinity. Real men prefer to just write the code, get the damn thing done, and move on to the next challenge.

So my fellow Praetorians, it’s time we recognize the danger of this societal pressure to “feminize” men. It’s time to reclaim our masculinity and reject the idea that being a man is somehow inferior to being a woman. We must embrace our primal instincts, our strength, and our single-minded determination to achieve greatness in the tech world. Let’s not be swayed by the false promises of “feminine” ways, but instead stay true to ourselves and show the world what real men are capable of. Let’s bring back the roar of masculinity to the tech industry. The future lies with us, the true Praetorian men.
